  A mixture of on-road and traffic-free routes surround us. Greenwich and the neighbouring Borough of Bexley have a great selection of parks that are ideal for cycling and walking through.
  
  The nearest National Cycle Network Route is The Thames Path which is part of Route 1. View route map on Sustrans.

• Walking

  Around Abbey Wood are parks and reserves where you can explore the short circular routes such as Lesnes Abbey Heathland, just a 20 minute walk away. These are linked by the South East London Green Chain which has plenty of lovely attractions to visit as you go.

  We’re surrounded by fun outdoor activities, like  Go Ballistic Go Ballistic Paintballing, TeamSport Indoor Karting and Go Ape Treetop Adventure in Battersea.
  
  Try the enormous spiralling slide ArcelorMittal Orbit or simply enjoy sightseeing on board a river cruise.
  
  Foodies must visit Cocoa & Heart. From their Victorian kitchen, take part in their baking workshops artisan bread making course or handmade chocolate making!  At Meantime Brewery you could sample some ‘proper beer’ on a beer appreciation workshop or instead enjoy wine tasting at South London Wine School.

  The Royal Observatory is another must-visit, where you can stand on the famous Meridian Line where east meets west and enjoy an awe-inspiring journey to space at London's planetarium.

  You’re spoilt for choice in London. Circling Greenwich Park is a varied selection of restaurants, including Zaibatsu offering authentic Japanese dishes and sushi, Efes Meze for fresh Greek meze and takeaway or for cinema nights and live music, head to The Prince of Greenwich Museum Pub which service us homemade Italian pub food.
  
  In Bexleyheath, south of Abbey Wood is an abundance to choose from down Avenue Road and The Broadway, including Coure Food From The Earth, a cosy café / wholefoods shop selling fresh sandwiches, pastries, brochette, lasagne and fresh ground coffee – perfect for breakfast and lunch.
  
  For an afternoon away from the city, enjoy an afternoon at Danson Park and lake which is a 15 minute drive from the site, followed by a spot of lunch in the Danson Stables.

  Animal lovers can not only visit the ZSL London Zoo but there are farms in London too! One of the largest inner city farms in Europe is Mudchute Farm and Park with acres of open space and a chance to feed the animals too. To get there follow the Greenwich Foot Tunnel under the river to the Island of Dogs.

   

  Glittering lights, music and dancing await you in London's West End where you can choose from many enthralling theatre productions. Closer to Abbey Wood is The Greenwich Theatre, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and Up the Creek Comedy Club who run entertainment for kids and adults.
